Doctorial Thesis Presentation: Accessibility to Bank Branches and Entrepreneurial Dynamics

Doctoral student Cynthia Sin Tian Ho of the Royal Institute of Technology will on Monday December 20th at 10.00 present her doctoral thesis on Accessibility to bank branches and entrepreneurial dynamics: New firm formation and capital structure of SMEs in Sweden amidst a changing banking landscape. The overall objective of the thesis is to develop a better understanding of the impact of the accessibility to bank branches on new firm formation and on the capital structure of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Sweden. The findings of this thesis are highly relevant to various stakeholders, such as policy-makers, in making finance more accessible to current and prospective entrepreneurs.

The doctoral supervisor is Professor Björn Berggren and the opponent is Professor Jonas Gabrielsson of Halmstad University. The public presentation will take place at the Royal Institute of Technology on Lindstedtsvägen 26, Sing-Sing, on the second floor (room 132). There is also the possibility to attend online.
