Sustainable Finance Lab’s Director Malin Malmström speaks on gender bias in financing entrepreneurship and innovation at the Swedish Riksdag

Between the 19th-20th of May the Swedish Riksdag, as part of the celebration of 100 year of women’s right to vote, hosts the event “Sweden’s First Women’s Riksdag” (Sveriges Första Kvinnoriksdag). Åsa Lindstam, the Swedish Riksdag’s vice-speaker wished the participants welcome and Britt-Marie S Torstensson Chair of Winnet spoke on the event’s purpose. 

Sustainable Finance Lab’s Professor Malin Malmström was invited as keynote speaker and introduced the event with her talk on the gender bias in financing entrepreneurship and innovation. Furthermore Clara Berglund, General Secretary of SKO moderated the event. There were panel discussion on: Women’s labor market and entrepreneurship, Change and the development of new industrialization, as well as a political panel. The Swedish Minister for Business, Industry and Innovation Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson also took part and spoke on new industrialization in an equal and sustainable society.
