To advance sustainable finance practices and foster collaboration between academia and industry partners, we are excited to announce the launch of the Industry Project Pitch Award. This initiative aims to inspire students to develop innovative solutions to pressing sustainable finance challenges within the financial sector. Short-listed candidates will have the unique opportunity to present their projects to a distinguished panel of researchers and industry leaders, gaining valuable insights and potential support for project execution.
The Industry Project Pitch should focus on one of the following key topics:
• Assessing societal and environmental impact,
• Reconceptualizing risk in an interconnected world
• Shifting norms to overcome inertia and accelerate action
The top three submissions will be awarded and granted the opportunity to present at the Sustainable Finance Lab’s annual Partner Day on 15 May 2025 in Stockholm. Prizes of SEK 20 000, SEK 10 000, and SEK 5 000 will be awarded for first, second, and third places, respectively.* The Partner Day event will convene sustainable finance experts from industry, academia, and the public sector, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
* The prizes will be awarded as taxable income (“arvode”).
Submissions
Master students are invited to submit their theses pitch. The submission deadline is before midnight of the 14th of April. To qualify, your thesis must be related to at least one of the three topics listed above and shall be written in English. Your thesis must be supervised by an academic (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Docent) employed at a Swedish College or University. Moreover, you must be enrolled in a Swedish College or University during the academic year 2025.
