Roadshow with the women’s business network Aurora Network

This spring, SFL researchers Linda Hällerstrand and Malin Malmström participated in a roadshow with Aurora Network – a business network for women entrepreneurs. Nearly two hundred persons joined the meetings.

Over the course of half days events, SFL’s research has been presented under the theme “Who Gets the Capital? Financing, Norms, and Entrepreneurship” at networking events held in seven municipalities in Norrbotten (Boden, Pajala, Haparanda, Piteå, Luleå, Överkalix, Övertorneå). The focus was on research into women’s entrepreneurship, financing, and access to capital.

The interest has been strong, with nearly two hundred participating entrepreneurs representing a wide range of industries, business activities, stages of development, and firm sizes, alongside representatives from NyföretagarCentrum Nord, Sparbanken Nord, Almi Företagspartner Nord, Aspia, and local municipalities—all partners within the Aurora Network.

The networking events combined research presentations with experience-sharing and workshops, where participants actively shared their own experiences, practical advice, and insights.

“Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to valuable conversations and knowledge exchange on entrepreneurship and financing, and to Monica Wikström Johansson, founder of Aurora Network, for inviting us and hosting the network events,” says Linda Hällerstrand.
